The club for runners in Saratoga Springs, NY

Welcome to the Stryders Book Club!

Meeting at 6 pm on First Tuesdays at Palette, our co-hosts, the Stryders Book Club is for Stryders and members of the public who love to read about running and runners.

Upcoming Selections

January 7: Running with Sherman, by Christopher McDougall

February 4: Finding Gobi, by Dion Leonard

You can read Laura Clark's reviews of both these books at the Strydewrite link. Our choices are not limited to those reviewed for Strydewrite, but these were too good to pass up.

The beauty of Palette is that you can have wine, coffee, hot chocolate, cocktails, and/or delicious small bites, sweet or savory.

If you'd like to vote on the March selection, come to one of our meetings! At the end of each meeting, we select the book for the month after next. They will always be running related. Not always animal related.

Come prepared to discuss your reactions, any takeaways that you find especially valuable, anything that surprised you, or anything else that comes to mind. You may read it on paper, Kindle, or listen to it; no need to purchase or to bring it with you unless you find it helpful. Feel free to bring a friend! Nonmembers are welcome (but they will be encouraged to join the Stryders).
