The club for runners in Saratoga Springs, NY
The Race Day schedule includes a Story Walk for children, a 1.5 mile Guided Nature Walk, a Youth Mile, and the 5K Run/Walk, followed by an Awards Ceremony. This is a family friendly event and will include children's activities, and health and educational activities provided by local businesses and/or agencies. In addition, participants and families will have the opportunity to remain in the park and enjoy the many amenities it offers, including the picnic areas, 8 miles of trails, biking, volleyball, horseshoes, and a kayak/canoe launch site. The park is designated as a State Estuary, having a portion of the park sheltering a Bird Conservation Area that is home to bald eagles, cerulean warblers, and blue herons that nest in the cottonwood trees.
The 5K begins at 10:00, but children's events start earlier.
