The club for runners in Saratoga Springs, NY
Registration is open for race two of our virtual race series. The distance is one mile. Anyone completing at least 4 races in the series will receive a Stryders buff. There are 4 more races on the current schedule.
Like the April 5k – which raised $210 for Shelters of Saratoga-Code Blue – each race will feature a designated charity. We’ve selected the distances of the races and their placement on the schedule based on events organized by Stryders members – or popular events in the area that many of our members attend. Correspondingly, we will earmark money raised through voluntary donations to the charities those races would support.
The May Mile will be a virtual version of the Malta Mile and the money raised will go to the Roundabout Runners. Specifically, it will go to a fund used for salting and upkeep of the bike paths on Dunning Street and Route 9 in Malta, the same bike paths used by our Sunday Mix-It-Up running group. Last winter Roundabout Runners spent approximately $500 to help with the upkeep.
The race can be run anywhere at anytime between May 23rd and 30th. We encourage you to run solo or with another member of your household and follow all Road Runners Club of America COVID 19 running guidelines.
Registration is free with the option of a $5, $10 or $25 donation that will benefit Roundabout Runners. Registration will remain open through 6pm on May 30th and you must be a Saratoga Stryders member to register.
Please register for the race first, pick your course, run your race and email your results to results@saratogastryders.org. We recommend that you use either Strava or Garmin to send a link to your race. Be sure to make your activity public. If you do not have access to either of these, you can send the time to the above email address.
