The second trail run for  the Trails and Ales Series brings us to the Vischer Ferry Nature Preserve and then a stop at Singlecut Brewery after the run on the way home.  We are starting at the Vischer Ferry Nature and Historic Preserve in Clifton Park, meeting at the Whipple Truss Bridge Trailhead.   The running here is on flat gravel paths that were part of the old tow path that pulled boats along the old Erie Canal.  It offers great views of the Mohawk River on one side and the historic walls of the old canal on the other.

After exploring the trails, those that want, are welcome to join us at Singlecut Brewery after for a beverage and talking about running and such things!   The brewery is 15 minutes north of the trail run.

Directions: Singlecut Brewery is reached by returning the the 87 Northway heading north back toward Saratoga Springs, but getting off Exit 10 on the Northway.   Left on Ushers Rd, cross over the Northway, left on Van Patten Dr., immediate left into Fairchild Square and The brewery is in an industrial park on the left.
