Monday Trail Run - Hennig Preserve

  • 17 Apr 2023
  • 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM (EDT)
  • 126-146 center Line Road, Middle Grove, NY 12850

We head back to the Hennig preserve. This is an awesome run for everyone - don’t miss out! The Hennig Preserve, located just outside of the Adirondack Park, is Saratoga PLAN’s largest nature preserve, boasting ~ 606 conserved acres of land with approximately 10 miles of trails riddled throughout. It offers native forest and wetland flora/fauna and some easy running with softer ground underfoot.

We’ll run the yellow and blue loops to get around 5 miles.  We will head north on the yellow trail and stay on the yellow trail, eventually crossing Center Line Road.  Continuing on the yellow trail you will eventually get to a four way junction with blue, yellow and green trails.  If you still have some running in you, I would recommend going to the left and taking the blue "eskar" trail.  It traverses an amazing geological formation called an eskar that was formed by glacial deposits at the end of a glacier! If you are ready to get back to your car, you can continue on the yellow trail back to the parking area.
