Monday Trail Run - Glowegee Creek, Galway NY

Experience this 2.3-mile loop trail near Galway, New York. Generally considered a moderately challenging route. Glowegee Creek gurgles along a portion of the trails and a geological fault line runs through the site, bringing limestone to the surface in several places, resulting in a plethora of spring wildflowers.

At this time, the northern end of the trail is closed.  If that part of the trail is still closed, we will still do several loops of the trail so hikers can get in 2-3 miles and runners can get from 3 - 6 miles.  Runners can plan on doing the loop twice in reverse direction.

This is one of the newer Saratoga PLAN properties so it is nice to explore on farm land with forested creek running through it.

Distance: 3 - 6 miles

Where: We will meet at the southern entrance off Galway Road.  The entrance is signed.

From downtown Saratoga take NYS 29 W for 5.4 miles. Turn left on Middleline Road and after 2.8 miles turn right on Lawrence Road, which merges into Galway Road. In 5 miles, trailhead parking lot will be on your right.
